At first glance, the sculptural columns appear improvised—haphazardly assembled from piles of assorted materials. In reality, they are the product of precise planning regarding the relationships between material, weight, and space. Each column differs from the others in height and structure, embodying the tension between stability and collapse, between rising upward and succumbing to gravity.
In this way, the work echoes the urban landscape, where construction, demolition, and renewal coexist. The vertical arrangement of its components invites us to look upward toward the city’s shifting skyline—where new towers rise, transforming its character and continuously readjusting the fleeting balance between city, material, and form.
