Why are there so many lemon trees in the Shapira neighborhood? Which family used to live in the red house? And how can you discover the history of a place through playful wandering and imagination?
You are invited to join a walking tour of the Shapira neighborhood for the whole family, led by guide Anat Groisman, following the video work البيارة Shapira by artist Thalia Hoffman, currently on display in the exhibition “At City Level.” The tour invites children and parents to wander through the neighborhood’s streets, among citrus trees, old houses, and historical maps, and to explore the history of the neighborhood built among orchards.
