Savta Stories | An Intergenerational Activity at the City Museum

What happens when Tel Aviv memories meet a young imagination?
Join us for a special intergenerational activity – a journey of stories, memories, and creativity through the story of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
At the center of it all are unique postcards that bring the city’s stories to life through our annual art exhibition.
We start with a guided tour of the museum, where participants come face to face with moments, places, and people from the city’s history.
Then the older generation tells their story and writes it down on one side of the postcard, while the younger generation listens, asks questions, and illustrates it in their own way on the other side. A family memory becomes a shared creation – and the city gets one more small, singular story to call its own.
Everyone goes home with the postcard they made together – a personal keepsake that’s part family story and part piece of the city’s mosaic.
