Launch Event for the Artist’s Book “Yomit” by Eden Bennet

The artist’s book “Yomit” is based on photographs taken by Eden Bennet over two decades of wandering the city, some of which are on display in the exhibition “At City Level” at the museum. Through an everyday gaze at the urban landscape, Bennet documents sculptural moments that arise almost on their own – from objects, materials, and chance configurations found on the street. Somewhere between photography and sculpture, between documentation and collection, Bennet offers a poetic reading of urban materiality and the accidental sculptural quality generated unintentionally on the street without intention. From what has been discarded and pushed to the margins, new, fragile, and surprising connections emerge, and with them, a different way of looking at the city and our relationship to it.
