New Beginnings: A Tour of the Permanent Exhibition and the Art Exhibition at the Museum

During the tour, we will visit the historic yet renovated Mayor’s Office, talk about the seashell lottery that led to the establishment of the Ahuzat Bayit neighborhood, the Hebrew Gymnasium, construction in the developing city, and uncover personal stories of those who arrived here at the very beginning.
We will conclude with the museum’s new art exhibition – “At City Level”, which explores the relationship between artists and the urban space. The exhibition presents contemporary works that examine the dynamics between the personal and the urban, and between art and activism.
