A meeting that is all about food, identity, and heritage

The Tel Aviv-Yafo City Museum’s City Cake competition features a unique component that places food, memories, and stories center stage.  
A recipe which, on the face of it, looks like a simple list of instructions, is often a living testimony to social history and cultural identity. During the event, culinary experts will share their insights into how food can turn into a form of personal and communal expression, while offering a few practical tips on how weave personal memories into a recipe. 

Who will you meet?
•    Liza Panelim (Hagit Bilia) – Culinary content creator and cookbook author
•    Naifa Mulla – Chef specializing in local cuisine
•    Matan Choufan – Director of Content at Asif: Culinary Institute of Israel. 

What can you expect?
•    Stories behind family and personal recipes
•    Tools and tips for telling cake stories
•    Inspiration for potential competition participants
